Anglo Saxons

Anglo Saxons

Workshop

Prittlewell Prince

Pupils arrive at the house of Leofwynne, wife of Ceolwulf a Thane in the court of King Sledd (circa AD 600) at the change between Pagan and Christian beliefs. There is much to be done as the whole village is preparing for the burial of the king’s son Seaxa. Food must be prepared, clothing and jewellery must be set out. Help Leofwynne to prepare the house  – you may have a special job or item to bring.

For multiple form entry schools we give your pupils a full day experience with a choice a  of resourced in-class activities to delve deeper into the life of the Anglo Saxons and how archaeologists work to understand them.

Let us know if you would like a 2 person delivery for Anglo Saxons and Vikings.
