Being an Historian

Workshop

Focusing on how historians develop the skills of an historian?  This workshop is  designed to be delivered to different year groups through the day with a maximum of 6 classes by two workshop leaders from Year 1 to Year 6.

In each session pupils will investigate the key skills that historians and archaeologists use to understand the past. Pupils will use objects to develop their questioning skills, they will use both primary and secondary resources to understand the information they can give. All topics covered link to the National Curriculum.

Topics covered include: Toys, Great Fire of London, Stone Age to Iron Age, Ancient Egypt, Romans, Anglo Saxons and Vikings, Ancient Maya
